Bookmaking
September 25
9:30am -11am
FEE:$20 per person

In this workshop we will be making two different books. The first one we like to call our basic book, a fancy cover a signature sewn in and decorations. The other book will be a leather bound sketch journal. Both of these projects can be adapted to many different age groups. If you teach kindergarten, or if you teach high school advanced art we can show you how to do this with your students. You do not need to be a teacher to participate! Everyone is welcome. If you sign up children under 10, they must have an adult helper with them.

Wallets

In this workshop we will construct wallets using the technique from Ductagmai (creating with duct tape). We will be using a combination of leather, sticky paper, and duct tape. These are super fun to make, and your friends will be sooooo impressed!Everyone is welcome. If you sign up children under 10, they must have an adult helper with them.

Origami Gift Boxes

FEE:$20 per person

In this workshop we will make two different origami boxes, both with tops and bottoms so no wrapping paper necessary! The box initself is quite a present. Best for ages 12 and up.

2. Hire us to come to you

Want a fun, easy, educational, project for your organization? We will prepare the workshop, facilitate it and bring all the supplies. You just supply the space and we will come and bring a workshop that will delight children and adults of all ages and bring out their creativity.

Here are few of the workshops we offer:

Book Making: (make 1-2 books)
1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants

Full day of bookmaking: (make 4-6 books)
5 hours $600 for up to 25 Participants

We love making books, journals, sketchbooks, scrapbooks, story books, we love them all. Tell us the age group and what you are interested in; we can make it work.

Drums: 2 hours $350 up to 25 participants

Big drums, little drums, all from fancy cardboard tubes, and space-age plastic film. Everyone will take home a fabulous drum.

Wallet Making: 1 hour $190 up to 25 participants

Make stunning useable wallets from sticky paper and duct tape. A great project for teens!

Sand Painting: 2 hours $350 up to 25 participants
Ages 12 and up
Make beautiful sand paintings inspired by the Navajo, or Tibetan mandalas. You will be amazed by our no glue process using double backed sticky paper. A sure crowd pleaser.

Origami: 1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants

Projects include: hats, boxes, frogs, cranes, finger puppets and more! We are happy to tailor the project so that it is age appropriate. If there is something specific you are interested in folding we do take requests.

Egyptian Hieroglyphs on real stone tiles
1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants

Make the Eye of Horus for protection, or create a message using hieroglyph stamps on large tile.

Adinkra Stamping: 1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants

Using traditional adinkra designs from Ghana we will make our own stamps to keep, and create a personal cloth, or join together as a group to make a large cloth. We will also use real adinkra stamps carved from gourds in Ghana.

Castles: 1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants
A great project for all ages. Use real tile, wood, metal paper, and whatever other goodies we can find to build your own castle. Children love playing make-believe and this is a great way for them to tell detailed stories from their imagination.

Treasure boxes:1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants

Great for all ages and abilities. Make a box for all your precious found objects, or maybe a gift for someone special. Made with sturdy wooded cigar boxes and all our best sticky stuff.

Small musical instruments: Chinese drums and maracas 1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants.
Make maracas from plastic lemons and Chinese hand drums from large plastic caps. A great way to add rhythm to your performances and songs.

Fish Mobiles: 1 hour $190 for up to 25 participants
Old Hangers, reclaimed wire, and pipe cleaners, and sparkly bits from the center all get used to make these mobiles. Good for ages 8 and up

Paper Making 1.5 hours or more, starts at $190 for up to 25 participants. All ages

Make beautiful new paper from the old paper in your recycle bin! Every participant will leave with their own handmade paper. Site needs to have electricity, water, and be ok to get messy.
